EBM: Lesson 4 Homework

• Choose a narrow topic for your Grand Rounds final presentation and find 1-2 articles on that narrowed topic. (You may have already found good articles for homework last class. If so, you can use those. Remember to use PubMed and to search for randomized-controlled trials and meta-analyses before searching for other articles.)

• Prepare a summary of your article using the method learned in class (see you class summary for this process)

• Please read the attached abstract and look at the chart prior to our next class.

• OPTIONAL: For more practice, watch this video on parts of a scientific article and another method for how to skim. Fill out the associated listening guide. The answers to the guide are provided as well, but make sure you try to listen and complete the guide before looking at the answers.
